Samsung IT School and Infoznaika are joining forces to create a new generation of IT professionals

The winners of the Infoznaika, leading international computer science contest, will have an advantage when applying to the Samsung IT School.

Samsung IT School announced a partnership with the international contest Infoznaika, which offers a wide range of computer science and information technology tasks aimed at developing IT-skills. As part of this cooperation, the winners of the contest will have a preferential right to enroll in the Samsung IT School.

Samsung IT School is a federal social and educational program dedicated to training future IT professionals, aimed at high school students. Admission to the Samsung IT program is based on two stages: a pre-screening test online and a full-time entrance exam. The winners of the international computer science contest Infoznaika are automatically accepted to the next admission stage to the Samsung IT School and receive an advantage during the admission process.

Samsung IT School is an additional educational program designed to provide theoretical and practical skills in programming for students in grades 8-10 who are interested in IT and have a solid understanding of the school’s computer science and math courses. As part of Samsung IT School, students learn how to develop mobile applications using Java on the Android, following the «from idea to deployment» process.

IT School is a part of the Samsung Global Innovation Campus initiative, which is currently being implemented in 36 different countries across the world.

Samsung IT School started in Russia in 2014, and now operates at 45 locations throughout the country, and also in Armenia. Additionally, the company has opened several distance learning groups, enabling students who do not have access to face-to-face classes to enroll in an online training program.

Since 2015, an annual student project contest called «IT School chooses the strongest!» has been held. In this contest, graduates of the Samsung IT School present their mobile application projects. The contest takes place in three categories: «Social Application», «Game», and «Programming». The jury, which includes Samsung specialists, teachers, graduates from the Samsung IT program, and experts, evaluates the projects.

The student project contest «IT School chooses the strongest!» is in the Ministry of Education’s list of Olympiads. This means that the country’s top universities can consider participating and winning this contest as an individual student achievement upon admission.

Over the past 10 years, 5,341 graduates successfully completed the course and received certificates from Samsung IT School. The educational program at Samsung IT School has been awarded the Runet Prize twice: once as a separate project under the «Science and Education» category, and as part of Samsung Innovation Campus Global Initiative in «Education and Human Resources» category.
